Shugo Chara!! Party – Episode 25 [FINAL]

First blog post of the new year and the first (and last) of Shugo Chara!! Party. Haven’t blogged  in ages, and feel the justified need to rant. >.>

No need for a summary, really. What I might attempt to summarize would only result in nothing but me getting more pissed off at Satelight than I already am, and trust me, that’s a lot.

So I’m just going to get on with it.

Honestly, there were bits and pieces of it that I liked, but overall, I was completely disappointed and pissed off.  It was fail. Of the highest level. I was angrier at Satelight than I’d ever been. I’m actually glad this is the last episode. No more ruining of the superior manga, kthanx. And surprisingly enough, I took 70 + screencaps. Because I have much to bitch (and yet a high amount to  fangirl – no matter how faded) about.

Amu..

I thought we learned this lesson before; When you’re in your room, and you’re overly-cheerful, you’re going to get a big surprise waiting for you.

Haha.  Of course, there’s only one person we know who sleeps in that position. :’D

I must commend Satelight for this, no matter how utterly pissed I am at them. The continuity back to the bed scenes ep was nice. Of all the ways I was expecting Amu to meet Ikuto again, I was NOT expecting that.

LOL. Chibi-Kitty mode is always appreciated. :3 Back for paperwork, eh? If that hadn’t been a huge portion of the truth, (or actually ALL of the truth) I might have thought he’d stretched the truth a little far in order to find the perfect excuse to see Amu. =’D And in the end, it was still the perfect excuse to see her. <33

LAWL. Of course, we got another hint of continuity. Amu wanting to hide Ikuto, except from her mama this time. Hahaha, she’s all panicking and Ikuto’s just like.. “Meh..” XD

So Amu decides she’s going to abuse Ikuto first chance she gets and shoves him into the closet.. or at least attempts to. It seems that strength she had from back in ep 74 has vacated at this point and she no longer has her “THROW-IKUTO-INTO-CLOSET-LIKE-HE’S-AN-ABSOLUTE-RAG-DOLL” super power anymore. 8D Unfortunately for her, Ikkun’s not going in easily.

Lol. Ikuto looks so annoyed. XD And rightfully so. She’s not even letting him explain before she starts pushing on him. But it’s completely out of love. Yep. She missed him so much she gets violent when she sees him again. Like Kagura was/is torwards Kyo. :D

I love Amu’s mom. Letting Ikuto in after what happened last time, even letting him up to Amu’s room, and then making tea for the both of them? Just amazing. What an amazing mom. Amu’s so lucky.

Amu’s Mom: “Ikuto-kun, what were you doing in there?”

Ikuto: “I just thought I’d surprise her.”

Very nice cover, Ikuto. XD Wonder if she believed it fully because, in complete plain sight, you can see the bed is messed up. Lol. And I love her slight fangirliness at him. She approves, Amu; she approves. :3

Aw, Ikuto’s such a responsible boy/man. *__* We knew this already, but still, not wanting to betray Amu’s mom’s trust.. <33 Lol, oh, and Ikuto, I’m sure Amu wants one -points to the “free hugs” text on his shirt- 8D.

So adorable. I find it funny how Amu’s default reaction for when Ikuto gets into her personal space is to shrink away and blush. “Let me be the prince for a bit.” Lol, but..

“Wait, I’m not really the prince character.”

Lool, he’s so damn contemplative about it. XD But you’re right, Ikkun, that’s Tadase.

FLIPPIN CUTE. “What a troublesome princess”. I think that’s one of the lines I actually like better than the manga’s. O__o;

… Oh. Hi there, Tadase.

I can’t complain TOO much since Ikuto invited Tadase there, but somehow, I wouldn’t be lying if I said I felt cheated of the rest of the date. :/ And this begins where my extreme rant will come in because after this is where I hated the episode. Foul language will most likely be used.

But not before a liiitle bit of Amuto teasing. I love the expression on Ikuto’s face. He looks so adorably smug.

Haha, and of course the first thing these two do is argue and fight upon seeing each other again.

So yes, he really had paperwork..

An orchestra? Well, I guess it makes some sense. He’s following in his father’s footsteps. And being a part of that, he can travel and go wherever he pleases, which definitely suits him. And perhaps this will allow him to search more efficiently for his father.

You know, since he’s leaving the next day for a tour, I do hope he at least saw Utau (and Souko) before he left, assuming he hasn’t before this. He might have just left seeing Amu as last priority.

You know, Satelight, in case this hadn’t crossed your minds, THIS would have been the perfect opportunity for Ikuto to say the “I love you” bit. But nope, you dumbasses got to cut the date short and thus cut out any hope for what was said in the airport scene. Bastards.

And what the hell, WHAT THE HELL, are you doing, making Ikuto fucking dump Amu on the date in the first place?! The Ikuto we KNOW wouldn’t DO that, no matter if he’s leaving the next day or not!

This I loved – cuteness.

WHAT. THE. FUCK. SATELIGHT!

No. Just no. -__-; I hate this scene. Hate it. It’s like Ikuto’s giving Amu to Tadase. Again, Ikuto is out of character. One thing I loved in past eps was how Ikuto – no matter what the situation, filler or not – ALWAYS stayed in character. That was a source of.. comfort? for me. But of course you had to ruin that too, you fucking pricks. Making him leave and then giving Tadase a look that clearly says he can have her. FAIL.

.. Unless of course, Ikuto’s saying, “You better make a move before I come back, because then you won’t have a chance in hell.” But that makes no sense really, because Tadase already KNEW that.

Ugh. Just ugh.

Stay well. Stay well? Amu, you should be STOPPING him. You should be CRYING and not knowing why and you should ask him how he can leave his mother and sister behind again. Thank you, thank you sooo very much Satelight for starting this chapter and pounding it hard into the ground and burying it.

Too infuriated to call this cute, but it was… passable. She sounds disappointed Ikuto left.  Which is something, but fuckin’ Satelight… -fumes-

Oh wow. She’s used to Ikuto appearing and leaving by now. But the POINT, or what SHOULD have been the point is that Amu was tired of that happening; she didn’t want him to leave. But lol, of course the Tadamu-biased writers got to have things their way or no way at all.

… ASFLGHKG.

Okay, I’m half and half. I partly don’t mind Tadase kissed her, because hey, it’s only fair and it was cute, but on the larger hand, I’m seriously pissed. Firstly, this didn’t happen in the manga. This is only there to please the Tadamu fans. Secondly, it’s the SAME cheek Ikuto kissed. At least do the OTHER cheek! Thirdly, is Tadase that cowardly? He’s got to kiss Amu once Ikuto’s GONE? Ikuto had guts and kissed Amu right in front of him in ep 102!

.. the lighting is nice.

Okay, this was a line from the manga, but it infuriated me. Simply because of its placement. In the manga, it was BEFORE Ikuto left; here, it’s AFTER, so it’s like it’s coming out as, “Unlike Ikuto, I’ll always be here by your side.”

Satelight just fails.

Oh, God, Rikka…

I started off mildly liking her, to liking her, to getting extremely annoyed by her, to downright disliking her. I prefer Lulu to her, and I’d never thought I’d like Lulu.

QUEEN’S CHAIR? Are you SERIOUS? -___-; Disgracing past Queen’s Rima and Nadeshiko with HER following in their stead? Nice move, Satelight. A pointless filler-character, being appointed near-manga status. Pfft.

I must say, while I was fuming away, so pissed at the ending, once this came up, I busted out laughing. Ikuto’s expression is absolute GOLD. He looks so freaked, its hilarious.

LMFAO. Tsukasa wouldn’t be Tsukasa if he didn’t bring his catnip with him. And lol @ Ikuto again.

Huh? Oh hi, Lulu – (too distracted by Ikuto’s cat ears in the BG) – nice to see you again. Why in the hell are you hanging out around Ikuto though? Oh, before I forget, I would have preferred seeing you over Rikka this entire fail of a season.
