Shugo Chara Doki! – Episodes 73 & 74

Doing a merge post since I’ve been very sick for the last 3-4 + weeks with severe bronchitis/throat infection and have been unable to do these posts. I’m such a bad blogger. ;__; Gomenasai! Hopefully I’m done getting sick for a few months… *Has a very weak immune system* It feels so good not to cough now, though. I can enjoy tonight’s episode without hacking my brains out.

Randomly, this must be my longest post EVER..

I’m doing the ep 73 post differently from my other posts just because that wasn’t a very important episode. So here we go.

Episode 73 Summary + Screencaps:

The ep mainly revolves  around Amu’s charas getting into a fight with Ran starting it by eating Miki’s cake before both involve Su for no apparent reason which leads to them fighting over stupid shit and who Amu needs most.

There are Nagihiko x Dia  moments in this episode that make me yell out “crack pairing!”; seriously, when the HELL did Nagi ever meet Dia? O.o. I mean, it’s good we’re getting Nagi character development, but this is slightly weird when he’s never even SEEN Dia..

The charas are still fighting, and everyone tries to get them to calm down, and Dia comes out of her egg and basically, though in a very, very nice way tells them to STFU and stop arguing because they are all “one”; (OMGASP! SPOILER!)

We see Ikuto who is getting sicker from that damn x-egg energy, Yoru takes care of him and tells him to get better before they hear something and Yoru looks to see that the Easter goons have finally invaded the Amusement Park.

Filler girl wants to be a food critic and although Su encourages her immensely, Lulu and Nana overhear this and filler girl of course gets her doubts, making her easy prey for Lulu. Lulu goes over and ?-eggs her using Nana as a decoy for Su. (WHY THE HELL DID THEY HAVE SU FALL FOR THAT SO FUCKING EASILY?!)

Amu goes to chara-nari, but with the harmony between her charas broken, Amu can’t transform. Filler girl attacks the Guardians, trapping them all in kitchen ware. (LMAO)

Rima: Why do I have to be stuck with him?

(Lolz, Rima and Nagihiko are trapped together in a box.  ;D)

Su is captured by the ?-egg transformed girl, and Miki, Ran and Amu come up with a plan to save her, and thus are all able to stop fighting. Cheesiness galore as a group “Open Heart” ensues and filler girl is returned to normal.

Finally, Yoru finds Amu and tells her that Ikuto’s passed out and in big trouble and Amu runs to her love. ;D

Amu: Holy shii mah bad boi’s in trouble?!

“RUN, BABY, RUN! Don’t ever look back. They’ll tear us apart if you give them the chance. Don’t tell your heart, don’t say – WE’RE. NOT. MEANT. TO. BE. Run, baby, run. Forever will be.. you and me.”

(LOL I know I’m better if I’m doing crazy ass captions in the form of song.)

Episode 74 Summary:

Amu brings Ikuto back to her house, and sneaks him food. She does her homework, occasionally getting pissed off at him for absolutely no reason, until Tadase comes over and she’s forced to hide Ikuto. Tadase gives her cookies for White Day and confesses his love for her! Amu is totally taken aback and is to put it simply, delighted. Ikuto gets jealous and later in the night confesses that he loves Amu as well! However, Amu doesn’t believe his confession and Ikuto gets upset, surprising Amu. Ikuto tells her to grow up faster, to which Amu gets tsun at and the ep ends with a image of the love triangle.

Thoughts:

Um, do I need to even say? I lost my voice from screaming for this episode if that explains it. xD I was beyond fangirly despite being incredibly sick and would’ve probably been worse if I hadn’t. I loved everything about this episode with the exception of Amu being incredibly pissy in it (Will get to that later), and the confessions were done amazingly. Even if I’m not a Tadamu fan, I was “Awwwing” like crazy when he confessed, and was probably nearly blushing, too. Tadase’s confession made me finally see the love for Amu he developed, and I will say I am proud of him for going through with it. I enjoyed it animated more than I did in the manga, and the same for Ikuto’s, although I wanted more cuddling in the bed. Still, it was an amazing episode, and is currently my favorite until Death Rebel appears.

I love it when she smiles at him. Her blushing is always a plus, but when she gives him such a genuine smile, it always just makes it 100 x better.

Ha ha ha ha, poor Amu-chan’s papa. Doesn’t want his girls to grow up, but they are. Midori seems to like the idea of it, though. ;D She seems to like Tadase, but we all know she’s gonna totally love Amu’s older boyfriend. *Nudges Ikuto*

Lesson 1, Amu: NEVER do anything even REMOTELY suspicious such as taking a bannana from your kitchen with your FAMILY in the room. They will catch on that you’re hiding something and will therefore only become MORE suspicious later on. (Like Ami)

Of course, it was all for her future hubby *Giggles*.

Hehe, and he’ll eat anything even if it’s against his morals if it’s for her. ;D

So cute, her watching him eat again. xD You sure like to do that a lot, don’t you, Amu?

KYA. She’s worried. <333 Seriously, look at her! She’s so cute when she’s hovering over him so worriedly. Though of course,  because he’s such a fabulous guy and doesn’t want his little Amu-chan to worry, he calls her fat to make her stop worrying about him. :D

… Kiseki, please stop eating all that Chocolate. You’ll get high blood pressure or sugar diabeties like that! We don’t need you getting fat! Take it from him, Tadase!

Amu: WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU WANT?!

Jeez, Amu. Why are you so pissed today? Is it because a certain cat-boy is in your room aggravating you? ;D Ha ha ha.

lol, poor Yoru. XD He looks so damn cute like that though. And Ami will love her future neko brother-in-law. (I just love saying that!)

Ikuto: Oh. This is gonna be my little sister-in-law. I should come here more often. I wonder how she’ll react to meeting me? I hope she doesn’t pull on my tail in chara-change..

Ha ha ha. Papa-san’s heart is broken while Mama-san’s is fluttery at her daughter’s crush. XD Most dad’s are like this, so I find it cute/funny at the same time. So protective.

This whole scene was win. Poor Ikuto, though. Amu’s so abusive.

This has to be one of the only times Ikuto’s actually gotten mad at Amu. Some people said that Ikuto was too pissed off in this episode, but it’s understandable; he’s becoming Death Rebel. He’s bound to be pissed off. Hell, I’d be pissed off too if I had X-eeg energy running through me. And Amu treating him like that is only getting him pissed off more.

As funny as this scene was, Amu really needs to be careful not to get too pissed off at him. I mean, in case she forgot, her bad attitude is what made him leave last time. He’d totally do it again, even if she was the one who drug him back. Ikuto doesn’t want to be a bother to her, and she made it seem like he isn’t when she insisted he come back, but then she goes and acts like this and probably makes him feel like he really is a bother to her..

That’s right, Ikuto, keep a watchful eye on Tadase and Amu.

-__-;; Fangirl Amu. Like it’s been mentioned before, this act around Tadase would cause them to NOT work out as a couple. She just isn’t herself around him. Especially in romantic moments.

Lol. xD Poor Ran.

Yoru laughing the entire time just made me want to swoop him up and cuddle him like Ami did. He was just too friggen cute while Ikkun’s sitting there cutely moping. xD

BWHAHAHAHA. xD I lost track of how many times I burst out laughing at this particular shot. Tadase must think she’s crazy or something. xD Just sitting there looking so pissed off with her fist clenched at the closet.. xDD

I loved this. Ikuto realizing those chocolates were for Tadase, not him, yet he was the one who got them in the end. Fate lurves Amuto.

Amu.. *Sigh* I  noticed a lot in this episode how she tried convering up the hurt she felt when Tadase turned her down and said he loved Amulet Heart back in eps 1 and 11. “Ah. That did happen, didn’t it?” Yes, it did, Amu. And covering it up like that isn’t going to make it go away. Even though Tadase apologized, it still has to hurt, as much as she said it was “no problem” or “all in the past”; and she might think she’s happy he likes her for herself now – hell, she really might. But the fact remains there has been damage there, and I think Amu’s going to be surprised when she realizes the one she truly loves is the one she didn’t think she had feelings for.

Like I just mentioned above, you can clearly see the hurt here until she covered it up again by saying it was okay, then putting on that phony smile.

This was so nicely done. I can’t bring any complaint about it. It was just so cute.

Aww… poor Ikuto, though.

To me, this clearly says, “I’ve lost her”; To Ikuto, all of the times he was in the lead, has come to waste. Things like “I should have confessed sooner” were probably running through his mind, and it just makes my heart hurt.

She’s adorable when she’s shy like that. I hope to see a similar reaction when Ikuto confesses properly. (We better get a PROPER confession. Where she actually BELIEVES him)

Lol, this is the scene that made want to do an AMV for “Mr. Brightside” for the love triangle. Maybe I will. Hmm.. xD

Ha ha, I totally wanted him to just bite her ear again, but the way he said that was totally sexy. I’ll imagine a hundred different things he could be saying… ;D

Bicker, bicker, bicker. I love it. You two are gonna be a great official couple. xDD

Lol, but then Amu-chan gets all tender on him and asks if that violin is important to him and Ikuto goes into detail about him parents and Easter. And this is another reason why Tadamu would never work out. Amu and Ikuto TALK. They tell each other everything. Things that shouldn’t be said between enemies. Tadase and Amu, even now, still barely know anything about each other. But Amu and Ikuto do. Amu’s seen his past and knows everything now, and Ikuto knows a great deal about Amu, especially when she’s being tsunder. That is progress.

Aww…

KYA. I’m weak for these scenes, too. She’s surprised by something he said. And knows he’s telling the truth about it.

But then, he goes tsunder and covers up his embarrasment by saying talking about this stuff is boring. Probably because she already likes Tadase, and is trying to not cross the line between them now.

She totally hit the mark, able to see through him. She knows he’s a kid even though he treats her like one.

*FANGASM* She totally thought he was gonna kiss her. xD

“So Tadase loves you, huh?”

Amu should’ve been suspicious from the start. You don’t just bring something like that up unless you either like that person also. It’d be like pretending to be okay with it without being okay with it. Which probed Amu to ask the big question: Is there someone you love?

“I do. You.”

So sincere, straight to the point, and just all out “AWW”-inducing.

The right reaction. Shock. Until she slapped him, that is.

“Guess I’m just the boy who cried wolf…”

Ah! The symbolism! The fact that his eyes are in hers… it means that he’s the only one she truly sees, since the eyes are the windows to the soul.

I loved this whole part. There must be a million things running through her head at his expression. Her voice was so gentle when she spoke again.

AH! THIS! This is what I’m MOST looking forward to! Yes, even more than the Ramen scene. The revelation of the Tsukiyomi’s. Utau getting emotional is always win, and I’m just gonna love this scene. I can deal with an idiot filler kid if it means getting THIS.
